## Terms of Service

These terms govern purchases from Steinbach Atelier ("we," "us"), [legal entity name], San Rafael, California, through steinbachatelier.com and in person.

**Orders.** An order is accepted when we send an order confirmation. Custom work is accepted when you approve a drawing and we receive your deposit. We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion, in which case any payment is refunded in full.

**Pricing and payment.** Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is added at checkout or on the invoice. Standard pieces are paid in full at order. Custom work requires a 50% deposit at drawing approval and the balance before delivery. We accept major credit cards, ACH, and check. Title passes on full payment.

**Specifications.** Dimensions on our site are nominal. Finished pieces may vary by up to 1/8 inch. Grain, color, and figure vary and are not defects. You are responsible for confirming that a piece will fit its space and pass through doors, halls, and stairs.

**Changes.** Changes to a custom order after drawing approval may affect price and lead time; we will confirm both in writing before proceeding.

**Delivery and risk.** Risk of loss passes to you on delivery or pickup. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, materials supply, or circumstances beyond our control, though we will keep you informed.

**Returns.** See our Returns and Refunds policy, which is part of these terms.

**Intellectual property.** Drawings, designs, and photographs we create remain our property. We may photograph finished pieces for our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

**Limitation of liability.** To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the price paid for the piece. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

**Governing law.** These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Marin County, California.
